Performance Theater: Super-Nazis and their Time Machine

What if the Nazis had invented a time machine?

Alone the question sounds very bizarre. But the performers of "Showcase Beat Le Mot" tried to find their own answer in driving national-socialism ad absurdum: In a parallel universe, a super secret special unit of Super-Nazis was send out to change the events of time. Emperor Cesar learned the national-socialist greeting, Jesus found his faith and prehistoric men learned the basics of civilization. Apart from very sharp witted dialogues, which caused the audience to burst into laughter for numerous times, the show convinced through their eccentric scenery and props. In one scene the actors were diving in a box of foam. In another, a sculpture made of aspic was slaughtered and red aspic pieces splashed to all sides when one of the actors used a grinder on (or in?!) it. Additionally, colorful light gave a surreal look. The actors used tools with blue and red lamps to create a dark yet colorful mood which reminded on those modern light paintings created in abandoned places.

It was a feast for eyes and ears. The audience was not stingy with applause for the performers. Unfortunately the group will return to Berlin and not play in Halle anymore. However, there are more shows to come. So check out their website and facebook page.
